Machakos Farm Integrated Infrastructure Project
This project involved designing and deploying a fully independent, off-grid infrastructure matrix to support sustainable farming operations, water access, and comprehensive security tracking across the property. Solar-Powered Water Extraction System: Installed a high-yield array consisting of 18 solar panels dedicated entirely to powering the farm’s borehole water pump. This provides a continuous, zero-fuel water supply essential for irrigation and livestock management, completely bypassing dependence on erratic grid power. Intelligent Property Surveillance Grid: Deployed 8 high-definition network cameras (IP cameras) strategically positioned across key thoroughfares, storage structures, and perimeter bounds. The cameras are linked back to a central network recording unit to provide crystal-clear tracking, smart motion detection, and remote monitoring capabilities directly via smartphone. Autonomous Farm Security Lighting: Strategically installed industrial-grade solar security lights across the farm layout. These units operate completely independently using localized battery storage to ensure high-visibility property illumination throughout the night, drastically improving perimeter protection.
